چکیده
In this study, we compare the diurnal variation in stratospheric ozone of MACC (Monitoring Atmospheric Composition and Climate) reanalysis, ECMWF Reanalysis Interim (ERA-Interim), free-running WACCM (Whole Atmosphere Community Climate Model). The results from photochemical dynamical processes depending on altitude, latitude, season. reanalysis use similar chemistry modules calculate a cycle when it is caused by variation. two model systems are confirmed observations Superconducting Submillimeter-Wave Limb-Emission Sounder (SMILES) experiment three selected sites Network for Detection Change (NDACC) at Mauna Loa, Hawaii (tropics), Bern, Switzerland (midlatitudes), Ny-Ålesund, Svalbard (high latitudes). On other hand, product ERA-Interim shows considerably less due to variations. global maxima occur high latitudes summer, e.g., near Arctic NDACC site Svalbard. local OZORAM radiometer observes effect good agreement with WACCM. sensed Ny-Ålesund up 8% (0.4 ppmv) variations summer negligible during dynamically dominated winter. However, dynamics play major role as lower stratosphere (100–20 hPa), models which assimilate data radiosondes satellites outperform Such domain Antarctic polar winter where surprising novel feature indicated edge vortex. This accounts both systems. summary, provides description interest trend analysis research based merged satellite or measurements different time.

متن کاملStratospheric Ozone in the Post-CFC Era
Vertical and latitudinal changes in the stratospheric ozone in the post-chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) era are investigated using simulations of the recent past and the 21st century with a coupled chemistry-climate model. Model results reveal that, in the 2060s when the stratospheric halogen loading is projected to return to its 1980 values, the extratropical column ozone is significantly higher than...
متن کاملERA-Interim/Land: a global land surface reanalysis data set
ERA-Interim/Land is a global land surface reanalysis data set covering the period 1979–2010. It describes the evolution of soil moisture, soil temperature and snowpack. ERA-Interim/Land is the result of a single 32-year simulation with the latest ECMWF (European Centre for MediumRange Weather Forecasts) land surface model driven by meteorological forcing from the ERA-Interim atmospheric reanaly...

This paper presents a characterization of the wave power resource and an analysis of the wave power output for three (AquaBuoy, Pelamis and Wave Dragon) different wave energy converters (WEC) over the Brazilian offshore. To do so it used a 35 years reanalysis database from the ERA-Interim project. Annual and seasonal statistical analyzes of significant height and energy period were performed, a...
